This game needs way more wards!

The housing is broken. There's unfortunatly nothing new.

Many people don't give a f*** about neighborood but they keep this system as if neighborood were the Alpha and the Omega.

The neighborood is broken since individuals can get a house, it makes ghosts towns but never mind, they prioritize wards with broken neighborood. sigh...

They could upgrade flats, offer several size, a greenhouse but no... always wards...
With a centrale aetheryte they could propose instancied housing with gardens and simulated neighborood but... we don't see anything of this kind.

I have no illusions about Ishgard.

I do care about neighborhoods, the instances houses are in are one of the nicest instances in the damn game and i see people spending time there, its just that there are 30 wards of those instances and people are spread through those wards. If limsa had 30 or so wards it would be the same.

Because some people care about neighborood all other are ignored.

And every time I go in wards, in majority they are dead empty. The ones populated are those with a big FC in the area. It is like that since the release of the housing and worst since they opened it to individuals.

And you do understand "it is dead" as "delete housing". We don't ask that. They could just upgrade apartments to make them interesting with different sizes and a greenhouse. It is not a big deal. At least, it is the fastest and lightest solution.

The all others you are talking about are exaggerating the problem.
Each server has 5040 plots, which is going to increase up to 6300 with the upcoming new housing area in future patch.
So depending on the server these are enough to give 70-100% of players on each server their own housing plot, and there a lot of people who simply dont care about housing, so you could say on the medium and small populated servers there are enough of houses for those who want a house and i could even see a lot of plots in twintania right now in the mist being empty.

This problem persists only on large server and during the virus pandemic, due to the demolotion being cancelled for some time. Give it some time and OP and you will be able to get a house you want, i never see the same people complaining over this housing system i guess they got what they wanted anyway.

There are both FC and individuals and when you see one FC with TWO FULL WARDS, the problem exists more than you want to believe it.

The system is not that bad to get rid of it, it just needs few tweaks and give houses to those who care enough to maintain their house.
I think implementing a monthly tax for a house should do the trick, so people who dont care enough will just lose/sell it away.

I pay a monthly tax IN REAL DOLLARS just to keep my house, and even that isn't enough! I still have to enter my house once ever 45 days EVEN IF MY SUB IS PAID, just to keep my cottage!
