This is pretty much the ongoing theme for most beast tribe summoned primals, as the strength of the primal is contingent on the amount of crystals and prayer made towards its summoning. Shiva is a bit different though. With not only her summoning coming by way of using a living vessel to harness her power, but also leaving it to a battle of will power between the owner of the vessel and Shiva herself to see who reigns. There have been multiple means outside 'conventional' in primal summoning, so what is important is that they give reason to why and how it has happened.

I also get the impression that putting down a beast tribe summoned primal is now a mundane task for the WoL (I know what you're thinking with all the fetch quests. just let that go for a sec). What I mean though is that the Allied Forces knows that the WoL is attending to greater threats, and other fighters and Scions with the power of the echo are available to fend them off. If the WoL is specifically needed to take down a primal on the Source; it means that this primal is beyond anyone's ability to dispatch it. It will be interesting to see why these primals are even worth the WoL's time.

It's really weird how they approach the game sometimes, sometimes they approach it from an Arcade/Call of Duty sort of way. Other times when they bring in guests like Matsuno or the Yorha guy they work hard on the lore. The game could really use more world dynamic content, specially if it's limited time. Seasonal primal summonings.

They may add lore to it, the unreal trials may be part of an overall story line. It isn't in the game yet, think it may be a bit to early to just go oh they should have done this with it or they shouldn't have done this with it, when it hasn't even be released yet and we don't have all the information yet. Having said that, I do agree with you that I do hope we have some lore with it, and that we also could use some more world content, I also like your idea of a Seasonal primal summoning.

But do we really need such a excuse to try to not waste an increasingly large portion of our content? Upward scaling is just objectively a good thing for content diversity, especially if you can later attach it to reward systems like the Relic weapon in order to focus people towards particular ones at a time (rather than there being so many choices that the queue/formation times for each are badly increased).

Probably just a revamped EX difficulty with the new universal markers and hp/dmg values uped to reflect being lv 80, be interesting if they add any new mechanics but have to wait and see for that one
