if you feel bad about not paying for the lousy game you can always keep on purchasing copies from storeswhat do you think about this?, I preffer put some money monthly to play it instead of pay for items, or whatever... I hate the idea "I have more money than you, I can be better than you in this game, I bought this item! -.-"
My intention is hear some opinions only and hear how do you think about this =)

Mothly Fee > Cash Shop, Item Mall, whatever you want to call them.

Both?
:x if I could pay money to get some more creative versatility in character creation/modification today....... I gladly would......
i played serveral F2P with cash shops... honestly thet are that bad. IF its not items its content. I could pay 60 a mnth in mabinogi just to have pets for storage, battle, a mount, plus 2 services. Also to rebirth my character to progress farther. For SE, a cash-shop solution would probably be better, as the examples of DDO and LOTRO have shown. There's little hope XIV will be able to compete with the MMO top dogs, and for niche titles, the free-to-play/cash shop model is just more attractive. It will be up to SE to balance it so you can't simply "pay more to be better", but there are feasible solutions for this.
The hardest thing to overcome will be the stigma of cash shop games. This very thread here is a good example of that.
The Crysta system is already in place, so it seems they anticipated that option. Wouldn't even be that much of a change on their back-end.
Monthly fees
Longer life span game
Everyone is equal
Quality of players is improved (wait for FFXIV to go pay to play and you'll know what i mean.)

Agreed with this, I prefer a monthly fee and keep everyone on the same level than "Donating" to acquire better stuff than the rest.what do you think about this?, I preffer put some money monthly to play it instead of pay for items, or whatever... ~Light of hope~
"Oh the good old sig from v1.0..."
Monthly Fee... yes. but give me quility and cut off some child out of SV

Champions online has a decent free to play model( unless you're a returning ex subscriber then it sucked), you play preset class/roles and lose very minimal game content (Adventure packs which are just a series of instanced minions, some convenience things)
If you subscribe you get more freedom with character creations (More costume parts, can dye your color powers and take powers from any tree and also adventure packs.)
If you dont pay you still get a pretty full game that you can play all the way to the level cap and not lag very far behind your paying compatriots( generally pay to play players make either tanks, self sufficient dpses and very rarely a healer)(Meaning: free to play players are more likely to have to party oh noooo~)

Xquiel ponte a estudiar ! xD
I prefer something combined $ 5/month $ 0.5 / character and purchase option items, would be an example
(Please forgive me, I dont talk english) too XD
Bienvenidos Hispanos a Hyperion !

If SE wants to permanently dmg the FF name and push half the existing population away, then free to play would be the way to go.
I would quit and at least the majority (90+%) of my linkshell would immediately bail on the game as well.
The whole F2P model just fails, it gives people an unfair advantage or if it retains the balance it does not produce enough funds to warrant a development team big enough to make people not rage quit. People will only spend alot of money in cash shops if it is benefical to them, and if it is beneficial to them I quit... simply because I refuse to play a game where the wallet determines the strength of the player.
