Please allow us to extend our lease PAST 24 hours. If we renew our lease before the 24 Hour time limit we lose the difference, but if we don't we have to return to that spot and set it up again. You should have no problem doing this considering that 90% of people won't even bother with the stands cause they don't want to spend the gil.

I personally dont think it would be fair to extend it past 24 hours. And this is coming from someone who uses a stand 100% of the time i set up my retainer. Its 500gil, so if you chose not to use it for that reason....your loss. Good luck finding an open ward if you choose not to spend the 500 gil. Also too, what is the loss if you choose to renew your stands lease? If you're bummed about losing a few hundred gil go do a levequest to make up for it :P

I'm not sure how these stands work as there's always been room till the merge.

Do I have to physically go to the Ward every day and renew the lease, or does it just drain 500 a day from my retainer till none is left?

If not the later, it should be.

Nope not automatic and no it shouldnt be. It wouldnt be fair. And yes you need to go to the wards, walk up to a stand and access your retainer.

What's not fair? It'd still be taking 500 Gil every 24 hours.

What's not fair is retainers taking up the free space when all they have is a single item listed at 999,999,999.

And especially when they have that 999,999,999 just so their retainer stands there wearing that equipment piece.

It's not the gil so much as the time. In order to avoid losing the booth, you more or less have to sign on twice a day. I don't have that kind of time. I will say that there should be a sharp limit on how much time you can pay for in advance--48 hours would be great, and it absolutely shouldn't be more than seven days.

I think the reason hes saying it would be unfair is because without a short timer with a in-person re-activation once a person got a stand there would be very little chance it would ever open up for another person. Can't really say i disagree.

500 gil is not alot of coin, even for someone like myself who started recently. the real price is you have to re-up it or lose it. which is the mechanic being use to give OTHERS a chance to use them too.

Some may be able to keep it going for a long time. but if you have long timers even the chance that the die hard regulars might miss a re-upp would totally disappear.

Think of it this way. If SE's aim is to give others a chance to use the stalls and not keep a person or person easily in constant ownership they could have tried other mechanics. Easiest being You get one X amount of time in a stall, and then Can't re-rent it for X time.

Or charge you so much its unaffordable (which would probably eat your profits) to keep a stall.

Or make you re up it daily.

Of just those 2 that came to mind and the current option. i think i'd prefer the current option. even if i lose the stall here and there, atleast i will likely have a chance at getting one again.
