    Constant Disconnect From Server/Data Center

    Hi,

I'm playing on Primal Data Center, Exodus Server using PC. Since last night around 10 p.m., I've been having difficulties logging into the game. Whenever I attempt to log in it either gives me the "lobby server connection error" and I cannot connect to the data center, or the game will kick me out while I am loading and gives "connection to server was lost" error message. Even if I logged in successfully the game will kick me out after a few minutes and while I was ingame the lag is huge, over 1000+ms.

I have no problem logging into other games, web pages and Softwares but still can't log in FFXIV properly. Please help.

When exactly did this start happening? Do you recall anything changing/updating on your PC or home network that coincides with this?

What have you tried so far in order to alleviate the issue?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

I've resetted my network adaptor, and tried all possible solutions provided in troubleshooting with similar issues sich as changing internet settings and firewall settings. Also tried restarting routers. Nothing works. I can use internet and log on other games just fine, only fgxiv os having thia strange issue.

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    - Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

-Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

If it is only happening with this one character, you may want to try deleting the locally-saved data folder (My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). Make sure to create a backup of this so you can replace it if it doesn't solve the issue.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
