    Double Bard

Bard is imo the most painful job to get double or triple in your PUG. One of the only things that constitutes to the Bard flavor is that passive dps boost you give your party. However, when there's another bard, even that becomes useless and you're almost nothing more than an archer at that point, in terms of your contribution. (the group wide buff from songs don't stack)

The fact that Bard is already bottom tier for Raid DPS contribution makes it hurt even more when your prime dps buff is almost nullified. I know it's silly to think about optimization with PUGs but it can't be ignored imo (mostly bc it also almost nullifies the Bard flavor).

Now I don't exactly know how you would go about resolving this and I'm not sure if there's a simple way. I'm guessing that simply having the buffs stack would bring balance issues.

Do you think this is an issue worth consideration? How do you think this could/should be resolved?

I don't see why they just don't stack, I understand they want to prevent game breaking stuff from happening, but even if it did stack none of this would even be an issue. It's really silly because you can stack double Regen, and a bunch of other potent abilities, i guess it's unfair to jobs that provide Raid buffs more then anything, you can play with 4 blms or 4 samurai's and the only penalty you get probably won't matter because the increased damage output.

If stacking buffs is too strong they could have each successive buff give a little less. Oooor if another Bard's song is playing your songs could transform into something else like a dot. Idk man, it's not my game I just play it.

Seems like a good suggestion to me. I wouldn't be surprised if the reason they don't do this is some kind of technical or engine limitation.

Or I think they just avoid doing anything because they want to reinforce this idea that we should avoid duplicate jobs.. You don't get to choose your PUG group though :/

funilly enough it isn't even "one buff", every song has its own icon/description going with its effect, and not even the different buffs stack.

aside from that the fear of buff stacking is severely overblown, taking more than 2 bards would mean you either miss out on 1-2% main stats for lack of melee/caster, on top of bard dps right now sucking pretty hard anyways, so 2 bards would be the absolute top you would want, and if "2 allways active buffs" would in any way shape or form be too strong than right now every group would stack bard with dancer.

That's the only explanation I could think of but not all jobs have a duplicate preventing mechanic. But it shouldn't mean the difference between success and failure except on the most difficult content where groups are not randomized, it just kinda sucks once in a while, so maybe it's just a low priority problem for the devs.
