Continually getting error 6D when trying to start the game. (help appreciated)

Update:

Booted the computer in windows 10 safe mode with networking. and still got the same error prompt. have no clue what else i can remove to get this to work. this is a seriously annoying update considering ive been playing FFXIV on the same machine, since before realm reborn came out.



and before you ask, the safe mode totally messed up where my icon's go. and yes thats a real homework folder, not a "homework" folder.

follow up update, I can apparently force the game to launch, had to get geforce experience and launch through that program, however having to launch through a 3rd party program is no ideal and not something i like to do. no idea WHY this works. but it does. sounds like something is jank.
