    New pvp more unbalanced then before

    As of now as a ranged attacker can't even think of killing a melee fighter.. not talking about tanks lol.. They can heal my dmg just by using medical kits.
    What were they thinking? Isn't now the game unbalanced again, this time in favor of melee dps?
    They can just jump here and fort like they had wings.

    This isn't the first time melee dps has been the bread and butter for killing.
    I wouldn't call it unbalanced if every ranged has the same issue, it means both teams would be in the same position. But I rarely play ranged dps myself so I don't know if there's one that's mightier than another.
    From the backlines it's more of your support for the others that helps with the kills. You're not expected to get the kills all on your own.

    You are right.. I didn't tought about that.. i knew that the match is a team effort but i feel a bit of a coward running away form a samurai, ninja or dragoon because i, for reasons, finished one against one... T_T

    edit: another thing that i dont stand is repelling shot.. it is unusable.. melee fighterts just teleport behind me so if i use backstep i'll just land behind enemy lines

    Unfortunately PVP in ff14 is never really balanced. Every patch you will see a different class that with have an advantage over the other. Very healer dependent at times etc... You won't see it in frontlines as there are a lot of players in one map so its just a total mayhem and fun but it feast since its only 4 v 4 you will see the difference. Just have to deal with it

    I stopped since I can no longer summon stuff as a Summoner, that’s the whole point of the JOB! Scholar I can forgive but it’s like Bards not using songs or Dragoons without jumping

    Melees have always been strong but yes, right now its pretty hefty. If you look at current frontlines everyone and their Dog plays Ninja to steal kills, get battle high fast, thus doing more damage and steal kills even easier. But its the same in other MMO's, the most op class/job is always the most played so nothing new here

    Yeah. Finishing blows are slanted towards melee, due to the nature of how they operate. That said, I would not say NIN is OP in FL anymore. When played by strong players, I would say DRG is the best of the melee because of their strong midrange options, though mages are also carrying hard. Mages specifically get ranged spammable AOE, which right now is pretty strong on the current map. Melee is amazing for small skirmishes, chasing someone down, or when a standoff is broken and the alliances get on-top of each other, though in a fight between two alliances it's strong poke that exhausts medical kits and healer CDs. With the changes to battle high and how your rating is derived, I find I consistently get BH5 on SMN in FL for example, which is high damage but overall low kills. Overall FL balance is good in FL between the DPS. I am still not completely happy where tanks are, though.

    Feast balance is much more important.

    All you have to do to see just how unbalanced it is is look at Dancer... and then Machinist.

    At this point, I'd almost like to see SE pull a Diadem on Feast and rebuild it into something better. We've already seen them do it with Diadem > Ishgard restoration and Rival Wings > Onsal Hakir.

    Melee is really strong-- they take 30% less damage and deal 15% more to you. Then add BH damage buff if they have it. The idea behind the former was to encourage more players to play melee instead of having full teams of ranged. Having to run from a melee does kinda suck but Onsal (and the other FLs- may they live on in our memories) is 72 player zerg fest. You should always be with your team. Just work on your positioning and keep your map open so you know when people are gonna ditch you for a new node spawn (especially those shiny A and S rank nodes.)

    My personal favorites for ranged are dancer and summoner. However, any ranged can get max battle high with the new assists system. It depends not only on you, but how well your team can fight/kill the others. If you ever want to give melee a chance, dragoon is strong in FLs.

    I'd also like to add that Rival Wings was not replaced with Onsal. Onsal is the new frontlines map and Rival wings (Hidden Gorge) is still available at the bottom of the PvP duty tab. You can queue Hidden Gorge at the same time as Onsal (but not the daily challenge or other FLs). "but rival wings never pops". Revival Wings community has you covered and will be running Hidden Gorge this Saturday, April 18th @ 8PM EST (NA) and 6PM ST/GMT (EU)

    SE, give us a Rival wings daily challenge and add the other Frontline maps back to the daily challenge! And while you're granting wishes, I want 24mans back, too.

    You missed the train where Ranges are super OP that almost exterminated Melees from the Frontline.
    During entire 3.0 to 4.5, it is either Tank, Range, or Healer, and out of 24 men there are maybe 1 or 2 Meele jobs
    You do not need much skill to play Range during 3.0 to 4.5 and can just blow up Melees before they can react; MCH and SMN are the worst among them.
    Ranges are still very vital in Frontline in team vs team.
    You just need to remember that you should never try to take any Meele job one on one.
    They have made changes to extend Meele's attack range so Range can no longer kite them to death.
    Stay with team, learn to find a better attack position and you will be fine.
    Dancer was so strong that they have to actually nerf them
