They are in a different "Universe", but I did fancy the thought of a FFXI-FFXIV cross over, ala our characters can actually go there in the actual game. After played the Shadowbeinger and understanding The Sundering, is it possible that FF11 Vana’del is just one of the shard awaiting for us to explore in the future expansion? I mean Vana’del has identical races but with different racial name just like the first shard. This would service the purpose of remaking FF11 and provide a closer to the FF11. Do you thinks SE would pull this as one of the FF11 future expansion?

He said going to the moon would be cool, "but maybe in 6.0" (not 4.0 which is when the question was posed I believe) but he in no way confirmed it.
That being said, I could see us going there at some point, likely briefly as a dungeon and only to fight Zodiark, sort of like when we went to the moon in IV to fight Zeromus in the Lunar Subterrane.

There are many reasons this wouldn't work and as someone who has played XI for nearly 20 years and XIV since 2010, it would only be shallow fan service. After played the Shadowbeinger and understanding The Sundering, is it possible that FF11 Vana’del is just one of the shard awaiting for us to explore in the future expansion? But just to cover a few things. If you look at the first, the geology is quite similar to Eorzea, in fact its pretty much an exact replica, Quon is completely different from a continental perspective so some pretty devastating geological events that have never been spoken of in XI would have had to taken place in the 10,000 years since the Zilart fell for it to change so drastically. Not to mention they also have their own Hydaelyn and Zodiark in the forms of Altana and Promathia, the former being in peak power and the later of which we already dealt with. Then we also have alternative timelines to deal with, like the Abyssea timeline in which Promathia (or Zodiark) would have killed us and reigned supreme as Shinryu and the timeline that was created/erased via the Rhapsodies expansion. And that is only naming a few things that would be hard to explain. The Zilart and Kuluu, while being relatively similar as the Ascians, as also different enough for their respective lore not to overlap smoothly, if at all.
Just using races as an example doesn't quite fit, there would need to me many more connections. Incorporating all of the Vana'diel lore, which is much much more intricate than the XIV lore, would be a complete mess and nearly impossible to do without retconning one of the games lores in it's entirety. If Yoshida wanted to just make Vana'diel a shard of Eorzea, not only would he have to be creative in a way that I feel is beyond his capabilities, but it would do a complete disservice to XI and the franchise.
Vana'diel could be worked in as one of the shards. We did have an event in the past that had a sort of crossover from ffxi.
At the same time there is a lot of differences that would probably need to be retcon'd for people that played FFXI.
FFXI is also quite huge in its own right in regards to content and just touching it on a single expansion would feel lackluster after the nostalgia from FFXI kicked in.
As for races we wouldn't see any of the races added after 2.0. There would be no female roes, male miqo'to existed but were so rare the only one I recall seeing at all was a single NPC in the game.
There were also beastmen tribes in FFXI that didn't exist in FFXIV like the Yagudo, Quadav, and Orcs.

As well as monster hunter, ffxiii, ffxv, nier automata, Garo, Dragon Quest and Yo-kai watch. That doesn't mean they are shards. From a lore perspective, as I stated above, it would be a mess and a disservice.
We can also include FF 1-6, in there amongst others if you want to take the Omega questline into consideration

I wanna say the roadmap I had seen involved dealing with the Ascians and then the Garleans. Beyond that, who knows.
While the other shards are a possibility, I don’t really think there would be a reason to go to them as the world ending calamities should be done once the Ascians are dealt with. Regarding the moon, I fully expect the final Ascians encounter to be on the moon with the last Ascian revealing their “true name” as Zeromus. (Specifically this was one of the classic FF final bosses NOT used in Omega’s tests).
As for locales and lore, I would really like to go to places we are hearing about such as Sharlayan or Thavnair.
Lore wise I would like to see more into the Allagans. As in, we know the ixal were created by the Allagan. Was Garuda originally an Allagan handler of their race? A doctor? Their creator?
Why are the Ascians and Allagans so tall? Why are we so small? Are we all doomed to eventually be lalafel height?? Those kinds of things are interesting.

Shh, I have to take minor liberties to make it flow right.
I should do an explanation of the story so far the way I did the summary of Eureka one of these days.
I just want better character customization.
