Collector Item Codes

Square Enix,

Please remove item code expiration on collector items or make the in-game items purchasable in the Mogstation. I have several items I purchased years before I started playing FFXIV and have only realized recently that I missed out on pieces of my purchases due to the codes expiring. Why does a digital item code expire if you are no longer producing the product?

I wouldn't be upset if there were other ways to obtain the in-game items since the collectibles are no longer available. I have been collecting FFXIV statues since Odin statue first became available, and I am sad to have missed out of the emote now that I am actually playing the game. I would gladly purchase the emote if it were available in the Mogstation but sadly it and many other collector in-game items are not.
