Thread: Predictions for 5.3?

The next MSQ dungeon is called the Hero's Gauntlet in English, but in JP is literally translated as "Jet Black Decisive Battle: Norvrandt". In the one picture of the dungeon they showed off, there's a multitude of leafmen, which I find rather curious considering that it's seemingly somewhere in Lakeland.

We also have a MSQ-related trial that they claim is against something/someone we won't be expecting...so I think that probably rules out Elidibus as our final foe (Though it wouldn't surprise me if he was still the endboss for the MSQ dungeon).

Can't say I'm having better guesses at what kind of threats we'll be dealing in light of the new information.

As far as the Werlyt storyline goes, I was kind of expecting it to take a break and give us a solo duty instead of a proper trial, as they with the Four Lords. I'm assuming the Weapon shown off in the preview is the new Ultima Weapon that was rumored to be under construction because it doesn't particularly resemble any of the remaining FF7 weapons and has some similarities to the original.

Well we fought Susano'o and Tsukuyomi, but not Amaterasu. Now's as good a time as any to fix that gap.

I'll be super sad to see the Exarch go but at least we have another G'raha to possibly wake up?

Not surprised to see one of the Weapons go down outside a trial. Genbu didn't have a trial either in Four Lords.

Considering "My Little Chocobo" is going to be a required quest now I really really want them to reveal that our chocobo is Seto's counterpart just like we're Ardbert's.

I keep wondering whether that Weapon in the Screenshot has a Phoenix face.

Someone pointed out that the Weapon in the Werlyt preview is using the Garlond Ironworks color scheme.

Unlikely as it probably is, it would be amusing if Cid decided to fight fire with fire and somehow slapped together their own Weapon using tech reverse engineered from the Ruby Weapon's remnants. I imagine it would probably be taken for a test drive against whatever Weapon decides to mess with us next, only for it to get totaled in the aftermath, since we'd need a reason to fight the remaining Weapons in a more conventional manner.
