    Insane lag followed by error 90006 since Last evening. Elemental Server...

    Hi, I'm a new FF14 player and have been playing the game fine for the past week on free trial.

    Decided to go for the full version and after a couple of days having blast this happens out of nowhere, I got insane delays (up to 15 second delays) followed by constant Error 90006.

    When i tried to log back on it either tells me i wasn't logged out correctly or server is full. Once i get in the whole process repeats itself. Sometimes it's so bad that i cant even interact with anything. The moment i click on something i get Error 90006. This is coupled in with numorous 2002 errors while trying to log in.

    I know there has been a DDOS few days back but i read the update that it was fixed yesterday, so... Googling for this issue hasnt brought up much help somehow, I've done all the basic troubleshooting and it isnt helping

    Just want to know if this is actually an issue with the DDOS still or something i need to work on my side. I did ping to the server and I'm getting contant packet loss. The ping seems fine though at 80-90ms.

    Can anyone shine some light on this? If it's FF14's server issue then i can just kick it aside and come back to try later on -_-

    Good morning and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums,

    We apologize for the delay in our response, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

    -Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    - Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:

    55021 through 55040

    -Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

    Hey, I got the same issue! You using maxis fibre?
    Insane Lag! I cant even launch the Launcher, it hangs at the [FINAL FANTASY XIV] Logo there, and no response.
    I have to use my mobile data to play the game since the first DDOS attack.

    Good day, I've tried all of the above and nothing has worked... I also had issues accessing all ff14 related websites... They either take ages to load or totally fails to load...

    I have no issues with other websites though...

    Any assistance is much appreciated.

    @Wushuang: yes I'm using maxis fibre. Since few days back it has been unplayable with insane packet loss, only for ff14 though...

    Unfortunately, if you are experiencing issues with everything FFXIV related (Game Clients, Websites, etc.), you may be running into an issue along your way to the respective servers. In this case, I'd recommend contacting your ISP and making a report with them.
