    Bait Inventory Issue

    Hey All,
I don't know if other people have issues with how much space bait takes up in your inventory, but it is a major inconvenience to constantly make room and switch out bait which how much bait there is in the game. I have about one tab or two dedicated to bait which is ridiculous. I know it's too much of a small issue to complain about, but if there could be a separate inventory specifically for bait I would greatly appreciate it. There is already a tab to choose which bait to use, so maybe that also be the inventory exclusive for the bait as well instead of the actual inventory. Thanks!

realistically you shouldn't be keeping that much bait around in your inventory. use your saddlebag or retainer to store it and only take out what you need for any particular fishing hole(s) you may be going to. It's all about managing the space you have right.

people have been asking for a "tackle box" for years. with the way this game handles inventory it's just not going to happen.

Don't stockpile bait. Buy only what you'll need for your current fishing trip and vendor any leftovers when done. The majority of baits are extremely cheap and easy to get. The Merchant near the Aetheryte in a zone will usually have the non-scrip bait and lures used in that zone. Grab what you need when you zone in.

Most you should need to be keeping are the bait and lures bought only with scrip plus a couple of the expensive crafted only lures, and even those you shouldn't hang onto if you're not actively using them on a regular basis.

It would be cool if they would consolidate stuff from old expansions in general, both in favour of player convenience and data simplicity. So, for example, a few bait that works 1-49, then another few for 50-59, etc. Maybe then it would be easier to look at the community request for a tackle box. As it is now, yeah you just have to chuck out the ones you don't need. You shouldn't really need more than a small handful unless you are out to complete the fishing log.

They've provided us with the consolidated bait already. Freshwater and Saltwater Boilies are available at vendors and can be used to catch any fish in the related body of water (assuming the fish doesn't require mooching). The drawback is that it increases the RNG you're going to deal with if you're trying to catch a specific fish.

Well yeah. Though that is consolidation via inclusion, which is also why I didn't bother mentioning versatile lures, either. You could technically just carry those though yeah you are going to get a bit of a range.

I've been getting around the issue by using my Free Company chest to store excess bait. It isn't the most efficient or elegant solution but it mitigates inventory issues to a degree.

Heh, I just have a half tab for that dedicated on one of my retainers. I should probably throw most of that stuff out honestly since about the only thing I'm fishing for these days are sweetmeat mussels and relic fish. I'm not really dedicated enough to fishing to go back and get all the fish, so there's no real need to hang onto the leftover baits... but yeah I just dump them on a retainer until I need to go fishing for something in particular. Helps keep my primary bags clear.

Well, it's kind of stupid they call each "bait" a "tackle box" b/c in the real world, a fisherman's tackle box is used to hold all the bait and lures. the minute you switch to FSH, you should have a completely separate inventory.
