My initial point:

FFXI marriages added enough drama to that game. The last thing I want to see is this game become a fighting ground over social issues.

And then:

Careful, you might ruin the sanctity of marriage in a videogame.

I don't even know who you are and you are already claiming we don't like your idea because we're anti-gay.

There's nothing "holy" about same sex marriage [...].

If you want to keep your grace with the twelve and thus your power of the echo and ability to understand other langauges, you better not involve yourself in acts of homosexuality. [...]

Yeah, lets get some marriage in here and to hell with only hetero couples.

And we want more of this in the game?

Devs, this is an extremely controversial issue for many people with very strong opinions on both sides.

Please - for the sake of FFXIV's peace - Do not implement player character Marriage in any form in this game.
