Oh please, treating this as a gateway to other "social issues" being introduced to the game is complete nonsense. Frankly XI had the right idea with it, making it relatively simple and the rings were a nice touch for couples that actually played together. (I knew quite a few.) Any drama that comes from it is the fault of those involved. If you don't want to deal with it, simply don't do it. Let those who want it enjoy it.
