The Future Expansion; What is the possibility?

After played the Shadowbeinger and understanding The Sundering, is it possible that FF11 Vana’del is just one of the shard awaiting for us to explore in the future expansion? I mean Vana’del has identical races but with different racial name just like the first shard. This would service the purpose of remaking FF11 and provide a closer to the FF11. Do you thinks SE would pull this as one of the FF11 future expansion?

Future expansions will probably be the setting we would realistically have gone in this expansion without the plot twist out of nowhere, New Ascia.

Err, Garlemald, to kill the guy we already killed who needs to be killed again, but better, this time. With our new friends "guy we thought we killed who tried to kill us but its okay now because he also wants to kill the guy who needs killing and is certain to get more screentime than girl who we thought we killed after she tried to kill us but we're kind of cool with each other now" , and Broody McJumpy-Nidhogg.

Thats after we drive back the guy we havent managed to kill, who took over the body of the above mentioned guy we previously killed, who then lost games of battleship, clue, and twister, resulting in him having to rematerialize the body of someone else who is incredibly dead and causing a scene we feel compelled to thwart.


But after Shadowbringers, anythings possible I guess?

I kinda doubt it. If XI is related it'd be much in the same way XIII and XV are.

But then Agaim I had been hoping for a crossover with Chrono Trigger and am of the opinion that integrating XI into XIV would yield mixed reception from at least the former's playerbase, so I'm probably not the one to ask on such matters

Crossover aside,there also matter with Garlemald that probably need to be addressed before further world hopping adventures take place.

I wonder if they will actually have us to go all the different shards. On one hand that is a lot of content to cover, and we have no idea how many more expansions are coming.

Granted the nostalgic side of me really wants to go to explore a 14 version of Vandadiel.

Honestly if you think about it.. The story really isn't that good all things considered, it's good for an MMO I guess but the bar is pretty low. They get us with the good writing and music making it seem like some kind of masterpiece but if you'd put this story in a novel it would be terrible.

Still impressive how they get you pretty emotionally involved, especially for an MMO, but i think it fools us into thinking it's a great story because we want to believe it, because we feel like being part of it. Guess how you experience it is all that matters in the end. Reminds me of a shitty stretched out shounen anime where you've just gone too far to stop and feel rewarded for sticking so long with the series because they reference or reveal things from much earlier in the series.

Idk just kinda occurred to me. Ultimately think the story gets praised a little too much for what it is. I still enjoy it though and it's the reason I return to this game as often as I do so yea idk.

While the alternate histories and societies developed on each shard was one my favourite points of speculation, i think we should finish exploring the source first. The way i felt after this expansion was that it was all leading up to the Endgame of the Zodiark saga, which will probably be next expansion (Yoshi P. did say 6.0 would take us to the moon at one point) as such i imagine it will finally introduce us to Islabard and Garlemald (with the final mystery map being the moon) and wrap up this saga. Afterwards well there are still a couple of locations on the source we have heard about, Yoshi P. also said he wanted to take us to the New World (Hydalyn's version of the America's) and i could possibly see that being the location of the next expansions after the Zodiark story arch ends.

That was me with Othard, and then wanting more Othard. I would love to head to Meracydia soon.
