Help unlocking Memoria Miseria

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to unlock the normal version of Memoria Miseria for a week now and starting to run out of ideas and things to try.

• I'm up to date with the Main Scenario Quests (To be continued...)
  
• I unlocked the new relic weapon on all my level 80 jobs (7)
  
• I acquired a Skysteel primary tool (1)
  
• I completed Rabanastre, Ridorana & Orbonne Monastery long ago (green checkmark in the Duty Finder)
  
• I completed 12 Return to Ivalice quests (ten level 70 quests and two level 1 quests)
  
• I completed the Kugane Ohashi trial that I was missing yesterday
  
• I just completed Cinder Drift & Hildibrand quests

And still nothing... I've been looking for other ideas online and don't see anything except one post on Reddit (no answer).

Anybody has a suggestion?

P.S. I'm missing Turn 9 from ARR, could it be that?

There's no "normal trial" as such; just the battle within the solo instance, then straight to the EX trial.

Thanks for your answer... I already completed a solo instance – don't you have to complete it before you get your relic?

In any case, the Wandering Dramaturge dosen't offer me anything new.

i believe theres a misunderstanding in just what exactly we got? there is no "normal" version, only the one ex trial, the only "normal" version we got was the big"ish" event where you entered cids memories, as you say you got the relic for all your chars you obviously did that one. afterwards theres only the ex trial which you unlock on the island where you did the relic quest

edit: or do you actually don't have the ex trial ? that would be a problem, however a kinda different one

Completing the solo instance was "completing the normal trial" to receive your relic weapon. There's no requirement to do it again for additional relics - you just need to supply the crafting materials.

The EX trial is for gaining dyeable relic gear.

I completed The Bozja Incident and even got the Cidception achievement for it... Not sure if there's supposed to be something after that... Got a bunch of relics and don't see any other quest giver on Gangos (beside Zlatan for remaining relics). Wandering Dramaturge doesn't offer me anything new.

I guess I'm missing the EX version then... thanks for the clarification.

I'd like to do it anyway though...

Is there anyway to redo The Bozja Incident?

Any other ideas?

There is (sadly) currently no way to redo the normal/solo "trial", which is a shame because normally those fights can be used as a very rudimentary level of "practice" for the extreme fight (a few of the attacks are basically the same in both modes; in extreme they just hide the AoE indicators). That and it's a damn cool instance to boot.

Memoria Miseria (Extreme) is unlocked by talking to the Wandering Dramaturge in Gangos, after completing the solo instance, and selecting the 'Varis' option when given a choice prompt. It should be noted that the Dramaturge should also have the blue quest icon marking him in this case. If he does not have it (both the marker and the 'Varis' option), remember that the current extremes are considered 'high-end duties' and thus found under the trials section of the High-end Duty Finder. Memoria Miseria (Extreme) will be found there alongside Cinder Drift (Extreme).

To access the High-end Duty Finder, open the regular DF, and there should be a clickable button saying 'High-End Duty(ies)'.

I opened a ticket a couple days ago, but I doubt SE will answer... I'd really like to know which requirement I'm missing or there's a glitch/bug...

Like I said, I'm really running out of ideas. I'll try to find a group for Turn 9 and run Ivalice content again, but it's probably not that... no clue how to trigger the EX fight...

At some point I thought it may have something to do with me having the "Soul without Live" quest from one of the previous relics, but now...

Just to be sure, you HAVE checked the trials section high-end duty finder? If you were able to begin the relic questline, then there are no other prerequisites outside of the questline itself needed to unlock it.
