Ventures/Dark Matter for Pixie Tokens. Please.

So... I am finally about done with getting all of my jobs on Lv80, and I decided to check the pixie token vendor because I have more than 480 tokens.

.... and apparently Pixies are pretty much the only beast tribe that you cannot buy Venture coins with.

I don't need materia; I have 100+ Stellaclusters and 190+ Planiclusters and I have 20-30 of each type of materia already sitting in my bag, so I don't need even more materia.

The Pixie Vendor doesn't sell anything else, not even Dark Matter.

She just sells furniture (which I don't need), Materia, and the Mount/Minion/Orchestrion Roll which I already have.

Could we get some sort of consumable or something useful that we can spend all of those tokens on?

could just sell the the materia you get from the Pixies or wait till allied when they add some new stuff to them if you really want a use for them if they dont add ventures at some point.

Materia doesn't sell all that well because of how much of it is thrown around nowadays...

And I am already Bloodsworn with them, have been for a long time. Unless they add something to that vendor to a later patch.... then best I can do is just vendor the materia. That seems like such a waste, though.

Hence, the reason for this thread, to suggest that they add a useful consumable that I could spend the tokens on instead. Previous beast tribes had things like venture coins and dark matter which are always useful.

as per all the beast tribes if you get them all(expansion wise) to max rank there will be a new rank added near end of expansion which will add new items to them for sale

Huh. Weird. I never noticed that happening with the Stormblood tribes and I did those tribes forever and ever. Or maybe it did and I simply forgot.

But anyhow, let's hope this kind of stuff ends up being on them.

EDIT: After doing some Googling, apparently I missed the quests to rank them up to Allied.... hmm. Seems to be just minions and glamour gear though. But hopefully they change that and also add consumables.

True, but historically that's just been a single minion and maybe a glamour piece or two. Certainly not hundreds of tokens worth of items.

buy up battle VIII materias and try to transmute them into more useful crafting/gathering VIII's?

I agree it would be nice to buy ventures with them but I don't think that will happen until the Allied Beast Tribe quest is added at the end of the expansion.

Materia is selling steady even if the prices aren't that high. You'd still be better off buying VIIs to sell and using that gil to buy Dark Matter than buying Dark Matter directly with Fancies if it was an option.

DrWho has a good suggestion in buying the materia to transmute. DoH/DoL materia prices will jump in price when the next crafted set is released (likely 5.3). Most players aren't doing enough crafting/gathering to get all the materia they'll need solely from extraction and would rather buy than do the scrip farming for it.

I am surprised. The good combat VIIIs are going for 20-30k on much of Primal right now. Especially now that a lot of 80s are getting several resistance weapons, each with five slots.
