I like to PVP as Ranged more than as Melee. I've only been doing PVP recently to acquire glamours and a mount I want. I've been in on PLD, SAM, and MCH. I like MCH the best of those three. Stay with your group and focus on players. It's the 72 man way, regardless of what you play. If you're ranged, you're not likely to win a 1v1 encounter, but you shouldn't let yourself get into that situation if you can help it.
