    Suggestion: Let's have a /Recruit channel

FC's don't have many effective ways to advertise for new members and largely resort to posting ads in /shout or throwing random invite on unsuspecting players minding their own business. This annoys a lot of players and causes trolling and ill feeling. Why not introduce a /recruit channel where FC's can advertise and players looking for an FC can add to their default chat tab to view when they want / need to. It can have the /shout range, but be dedicated to recruitment. If FC's then advertised in /shout they get what they deserve by way of retaliation.

A recruitment board would be much more efficient. Shouts and tells are by far one of the least effective recruitment tools and also the best way to get yourself blacklisted. In the case of tells, also the best way to get yourself reported for harassment if you are too heavy handed on it.

But we do need something inside the game. If they could give recruitment tools, where you could post ads up that ppl could browse, that showed your FC details, rank, housing, member#, members online, goals, contact name(s), etc. and limited the amount of characters used (because walls of text are just as inefficient) that would be incredibly helpful.

It would also be great to have a way to advertise your FC's events that are open to the public. FC events, from something fun and silly to getting clears, is by far the best way to recruit for your FC, so this would be another great recruitment tool on top of a tool that would bring the community together. Especially if they separated RP and what not from battle content. The biggest problem with the fellowships is sorting through all the jokes and the fluff to find something more substantial.

For sure a /recruit channel isn't the "Rolls Royce" of solutions. I was just thinking its a very quick, cheap and easy thing to introduce and would instantly drive that traffic out of the /shout channel in a flash and negate all the negative trolling that FC's currently endure. Better solutions are out there for sure, but I didn't want to be too ambitious lol. The /Yell channel is pretty redundant, they could just change the range, rename and use that. In terms of blacklisting - why have the /recruit visible if all you are going to do is blacklist people advertising?
