I'd recommend trying the following if you have not already:

1) Update your Windows Operating System using Windows Update. Make sure to install any optional updates as these aren't installed automatically.

2) Disable any overlays (Geforce Experience, Discord overlay, etc.) that may be present while playing the game. Also make sure to close any other programs that are running alongside the game while playing.

3) Make sure that any anti-virus software you have has the appropriate exceptions for the game's install folder.

4) Perform a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

5) Reinstall the game. When you do, make sure to remove the locally-saved data folder (located My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). Be sure to make a backup of this just in case it doesn't resolve the issue.
