Why can you have only 16 hotkeys? I play with a controller as well and have all of the abilities for all of my jobs hotkeyed except for Fluid Aura on White Mage because it is useless. Playing this game requires all of your abilities to be hotkeyed for the most part as most of them are useful.

Enabling the expanded crosshotbar as well as customizing your controller settings is a key part of being able to play with controller. Here is a general guide for controller players. There are also some guide videos on youtube if that works better for you than the wall of text.

If it is because of a physical limitation you can use macros to stack things like defensive cooldowns or buffs into one or two hotkeys. This isn't optimal as it will cause a delay, but that won't matter for most casual content. I would recommend not including the Limit Break and Invincible in this, those abilities should have their own keys. Weapons skills can't be stacked in a macro.

You can plug a USB keyboard in to your PS4 to type. If you don't have one available then I suggest making some basic macros for party communication such as
/p Hello.
/p I am new.
/p This is my first time here/tanking this.
/p Good game!
/p I have no keyboard, so my typing will be slow.

You can set these to your hotbar. Even though I do use a keyboard for typing, I still have basic Hello/Goodbye macros that I use so I don't have to drop my controller at the start and end of dungeons.

i enabled the wxhb controls now just trying to figure out how to put stuff up in upper hotbar, as for a key board i am going to have to order one. Really didn't need use for one because i just use a laptop for stuff. I just messing with stuff to see how i can get it to work the way i need it

Aether is your data centre, which contains many servers/worlds.
Yours is Sargatanas. When someone wants to know the world you're on, you're on Sargatanas. The data centre isn't really needed, most people know what servers are on their data centre.

You can use the PS4s mouse mode with the touch panel it has, or you can add them like the first hotbar, you just have to switch which hotbar you're seeing. Tap R1, or hold it to select a specific set.
