I get this feeling that when logging in on the 25th I'll find the server mostly abandoned. The population was low enough to begin with. I can't help but feel that many players quit during the large downtime.

It's possible, depending on what's in 1.16a (do they need the translators back), in how quick succession were they supposed to release 1.17 after it, and how much they are lagging behind the schedule.

If 1.16a is the mid-month small update (similar to 1.15b) then I assume it's ETA was last week, or the beginning of this week. I can see it being implemented soon after 25th, and most likely before April.
