I wouldn't think it would be too hard to adapt the code for Morpho, no, but the visual would be quite different.

Firstly, I am so sorry for your loss, to think about the pain your wife and you both must be in right now is absolutely terrible.

As far as a minion memorial to your little one, sadly, there has been more than a few requests for official memorials in-game for players and their friends and family who have passed away, and unfortunately there is never really any response, possibly because Yoshi has to be pragmatic (if he accepted a request and made such a memorial for one person, then he would have to do it for every one, and that would impact on the game's development schedule). This is not to dissaude you from requesting it though, it's just that unfortunately it's surprising a common request that never really bears fruit I'm afraid. ; ;

Instead, using an existing minon or furnishing for a memorial is usually the option most players choose (in my FC house we have a memorial to a much loved JP member of our FC who passed away tragically last year - her grief-stricken husband who is also a member asked my boyfriend specially to grow a white lily and have it in pride of place next to the Guestbook along with a candle we keep burning and a Morpho wall plaque. Visitors always comment how respectful and compassionate that is). So, if you have a house, maybe you and your family could look into making something similar to remember your daughter by.

Another alternative for a minion is the Butterfly Effect minon (that has two butterflies, one of them a glowing white), so that may be an option too. As you mentioned she loved looking at lights, and also because of the lunar connection, there is the Wind Up Moon minion as well.

I can appreciate the practical realities of such requests, but we can't know if we don't try. We're both in the process of farming up for the Butterfly Effect minion and both got the Wind Up Moon as soon as this happened. We just felt it was worth at least asking if there was a way our baby girl could join in the countless adventures that happen every day on the game that brought our family together in the first place.

I understand the chances of Square-Enix making this addition is slim, but I believe in the power of this gaming community. I've seen it once already in support of Lyra and Diorent, and it truly amazed me how much support came in for them, and how quickly. I will also sign my name to this petition, in hopes that SE will see it as a worthy cause. If possible, please spread the link to this thread to as many places as everyone can. Friends, Discord servers, tumblr. I encourage as many people to sign this petition as possible.
