As much as I love this game and am genuinely excited for new/updated things to do, the most important thing is everyone's health. Take care of yourselves first, we'll all be here when things settle again.

Completely understandable, under circumstances like these everyone's safety comes first. We'll wait until this has passed so take care of yourselves and stay well. I wish you and the entire dev team the best.
to devs team your health come before development off ffxiv. I also like said to comminuty aswell take your selves players should put they health first aswell we don't need anyone get sick and those that sick I wish speed recovery you in my prays, as are the devs team
Understandable, expected, and the correct thing to do in this circumstance.
Don’t much care for any delays throughout this pandemic. I'm a medical student who's recently started fourth year. My peers who have already matched are being graduated early to go fight this pandemic and I wish them the best of luck. With what healthcare workers are experiencing at the frontlines on a day to day basis, and the stories I hear and read about every day... everything else seems... is so trivial. Damn good on the dev team to look after themselves. Stay home, stay safe.

I've been expecting that this would happen. I'm glad SE is being responsible, and I want the development team and everyone who works as SE to stay healthy and safe.
I expected this tbh. Gives me more time to work on those relics and play other games on my backlog so i'm ok with it.
i feel ok with this? yes i am. Am i sad ?yes but their health and ours is more important
Glad to see everyone's support and understanding. Such unity on the forums is as rare as an alignment of stars. That's as good of a silver lining as any in my book. As is the fact the servers will remain online. SE can't very well charge subscribers for a service they cannot provide, so this is really good news for everyone that we can still play the game we love so much. Hopefully this let's us all know to not take privileges like that for granted.
On a lighter note: could you imagine if SE was able to maintain patch schedules despite things like national sports and global economical shutdowns?! The task forces of all the allied nations would have to do whatever the hell SE would be in that situation. xD
Thank you Yoshida. For everything you do.
