Um, wrong forum for that.... this is the FFXIV forum specifically. Also FFVII Remake is being made as episodic content (which they announced was going to be the case years ago), this is only Episode 1, so there was always going to be an expectation that you would have to wait for the continuation when finishing it (it even says so on the back cover, that this is only the first episode in the remake and that it's story finishes when the party escapes from Midgar).

Think of it like FFXIV is, in FFXIV the story is continued episodically as well in expansions and main patch scenarios. Accordingly, like FFXIV you will have to wait for more episodes to be released for the story to be continued.
