I've done everything in this post, and it doesn't fix the problem. Changed the Internet Explorer, ports are all open, don't have a firewall other than Microsoft basic security, deleted the folder, and so on. I'm getting booted at least once a night, can't log back in for anywhere for 15-30 minutes. It's the same thing every single time. I get 2002 errors, the rare times it takes me to char select and makes me wait in queue because the World is full, I get to loading screen then get kicked out of that as well with a 90002 error.

When this happens, I can connect to any other game or webpage on the planet, except connect to the game server.

Yeah, I've been having these issues as well. You know how everyone floods the Ishgard FATE zone? Because I feel like the mass amount of people there doing the FATE actions could be flooding the server similar to a DDoS and either causing lag or disconnects in that respect when sending the action to the servers to process since Ishgard FATE started not too long ago for Zalera. Perhaps SE could fix that instance?

    Hi,

I just found an older post that had the instructions of:

    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.

Your post didn't have the line about changing the Compatibility. Is that still something I should be doing, changing it to Windows 7? My default was at Windows 8. I was confused when I tried to follow your instructions about hitting apply because it was greyed out as I hadn't made any changes.

If it's the same issue as me, it is 100% a FFXIV game/server issue, and not ISP/client based.

I have 2 different PC's on the same network. On one PC, I did ALL of the suggestions Square recommended, reinstalled the game, ran network diagnostics, etc. On another PC, none of the changes, and yet I still have the issue on both PC's.

Interestingly and what proves it's FFXIV server/game issue, is that on both PCs, other members of the household have ZERO issues playing FFXIV on their accounts. No disconnects ever. Not once. And when I look at resource monitor server connections for both accounts, they connect to different IPs, even though we are both on Midgardsormr server.

Also, I've run resource monitor on Windows that tracks the TCP connections to FFXIV servers, and when I get disconnected... it records 0 packet loss, and 0 latency issues. (Windows Key + r, type in 'resmon' then enter to run Resource Monitor, then look under TCP Connections and find ffxiv_dx11.exe to see the server / connection details.

While I'm sure there are people who do have client/ISP issues, I have concrete proof that my issue is a FFXIV server/game issue. But unfortunately I haven't been able to get a support rep's response to dig into it, even though I've reached out via Support Ticket, GM Ticket, and these forums in the last week.

Hopefully my troubleshooting can help you guys with yours as well. Good luck!

It looks like just today they moved just one of the threads about this. The guy responding said they can't do anything and the forum they moved it to is basically 'we can't help you' so I guess the support desk staff here only know how to do tier 1 troubleshooting. Would really appreciate if somehow we can get some eyes on this because if it is a server issue affecting a lot of people in Aus/SEA and they don't do anything, a lot of people are going to be leaving the game. I'll check today and in the next couple days to see if anything improves, else I'll see if I can contact someone about it.

At least right now when I've logged in, my problem seems to have resolved itself (maybe it's connecting to a different server today).
