Crystal Data Center - kicked from game, can't log in, getting 2002 or 90002 errors

    Hi,

I'd been connected and playing all day with no problems. Was playing Triple Triad in Kugane and got tossed from the game. Now I either get:

Upon logging into the game from the launcher and hitting start, I mostly get the 2002 error 'The lobby server connection has encountered an error.'

And on the rare chance I get to character select, it makes me wait in queue because the World is full, I get to the 'Now loading' screen, then I get kicked out again with a 90002 error 'Connection with the server was lost.'

I'm on the Crystal server on Brynhildr. Up until this last patch I'd never had a single connection problem. This happened to me yesterday as well but cleared up after about 10 minutes. Tonight I've been unable to log back in for well over an hour.

Tried the other suggestions about making changes to the Internet Explorer. Tried resetting my router. Tried a dnsflush, nothing is working. All my other internet connections and games are working fine.

Are you able to log in with other characters or is it just that one that is having issues?

Good morning and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums,

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    - Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

-Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

If it is only happening with one character, you may want to try deleting the locally-saved data folder (My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). Make sure to create a backup of this so you can replace it if it doesn't solve the issue.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Yeah it's started for me as well. I was in the middle of a stream so I managed to capture it. With fantastic timing as well as an npc just shouted out "Now is not the time for drastic action!" 90002

Crystal DC, Coeurl server, same issue. I can log into the launcher (for now) and into the client, but soon as I attempt to connect to a DC, whether it's my home or another one such as Aether, 2002. I made it to the char select once where it just disconnected me on loading into the game after waiting in queue.

Same issues as above, on Coeurl (Crystal DC).

Went to switch characters, got a lobby error. Now I'm having both launcher issues and when I CAN get in, I'm getting either more lobby errors or booted within ten seconds of fully logging in.

UPDATE: As of 5:22pm CDT, back to normal for me with no issue!

Do you know what IP/Server your game is connects to? May help the support team troubleshoot.

While playing the game and logged in, alt-Tab to go back to Windows, press Windows-R to run a command, type in 'resmon' and hit 'Enter' to start Windows Resource Monitor. Under the Network bar look for ffxiv_dx11.exe process, and the FFXIV server your computer is connected to is listed under 'Address'. It can also be found under 'TCP Connections' and 'Remote Address' column.
