Update stats on old preorder gear

Hello all, was looking through old gear and noticed some of them have become outdated due to stats such as garlond goggles, moogle cap, onion helm etc. There are now newer items like friendship circlet, earring, for example that makes these items rather useless, was thinking they should at least update to better bonuses or at least on par with what's out there now, otherwise it's just glam.

But why? Who cares? Those items aren't obtainable any more and anyone who already has them doesn't need them for the stats anyway.
