You are a God among mere mortals... perfect information...1-20 Goats near Horizon
20-28 Mites near Nophica
28-37 Ants in the 2nd map of Copperbell or Higher Mites by Nophica
37-42 Raptors
42+ Natalan or Zaharak
For the self righteous people get the hell over yourselves if this is how some people like to play that is their option they are paying and it's not illegal so deal with it. If you don't like that then don't invite them to your party simple. PL works fine but if you can get a good group to go and grind in these areas it is actually faster especially higher levels and in Natalan. Considering even after merge our server is still quiet and forming parties is still a massive chore I don't blame some people with the level gap this game has.
QFTI think PLing is perfectly fine. Most people can't really get a feel for their job without experience in endgame anyways. However, I'm glad they made it so that it's more tedious to PL. All I ever really do is help friend PL annoying classes for their jobs, like GLA and CNJ. That 1-20 grind is awful anyways.
40-50 is plenty of time to figure out your job. Even then, a few ls runs will get you up to speed in a hurry. Contrary to popular belief 1-40 doesn't teach you shit about your job. You dont even get the full combos youll be using regularly til like 35+. Plus soloing to 40 does not teach you how to work in a party anyway. All in all the arguments against the whole PL thing are pretty weak...FFXIV is not one of those games that requires a lot in terms of "learning a class". You have to learn how to operate in dungeons and parties, but you don't learn that until you actually do dungeons or primals. No amount of grinding will prepare you for Ifrit/Moogle/AV/CC.
As for PL locations use mooglebox.

Inviting someone to a PT, then gathering all the mobs and then getting kicked out is so tough.I think PLing is perfectly fine. My name is Zezlar, and I do not know the definition of tedium.

Nanawa Mines the Eyeballs. Good xp and you can make some gil of the wings

Once again, here comes this strange idea that games have to feel like a job. I work 60 hours a week but I like to play both FFXIV and literally anything else, but under your regimen that would make me a n00b. I guess I have to quit my job to actually get any further in this game.
Games are for fun. If you think people have to "work hard" to "earn" the right to have fun in a game, you really need to look at your reasons for playing. Getting everything maxed out so early with all the obstacles the game threw at you doesn't strike me as an achievement, but more an obsessive playstyle. That's your choice, but don't expect every player to share the same priorities.

"I want to go to a concert... But I don't feel like driving there...
I know... I'll call a cab... but yea... i don't feel like calling one or even walking outside to get in it...
So I'll just sit here and text my friends until one of them agrees to come to my house... put me on their back and carry me to the concert"
Come on.. its not even about power leveling anymore...
He is asking people to tell him where to power level... you have to see the ridiculousness in that
At least figure out what place is best for PL....
You might as well give your account info to one of those sites that charges for leveling your character...
A video game shouldn't be a job... but some things are worth working towards
tl;dr if its really worth something to you, you'll put in the workConsider this:
If every game publication.. every review site... every gamer friend of yours, every blog... If every one said a certain game had endgame that was so epic...so insanely good that it deserved universal praise... The cutscenes looked better than real life... the voice acting was Oscar worthy... the end boss was super tough rewarding and amazing... the fight mechanics were so next gen... the strategy required would make the Pentagon cringe... It was like Navy seals, wrapped in Jedi, sprinkled with Sephiroth's ashes...
but..
It took 6 months of leveling 6-8 hours a day to even get to do this fight....
People might complain about the amount of time needed... but they'd do it.. damn it even the most casual players would be out grinding their hearts out...
LMAO I don't agree with the way the message is given but I agree with the concept and spirit of the message. Either way, I think we're derailing, even though the answer is already given. That's like saying:

I already have 5 lvl 50s.... I havn't leveled a class in 4 months. I wanted to get monk to 50 since I hear how great they are on certain encounters in AV. Don't assume too much. I also have a career where I work 10-12 hours a day. My job is my job. I only have 2-3 hours a night to play.
Thank you to everyone who offered suggestions......
