Finished this up last night. I definitely took me longer than an hour. A little over 3.5 actually lol.

Granted, I move like molasses in mmos. I couldn't just read the cut scenes. I had to explore Gangos; see if there was a fishing hole there. I had to talk to everyone, and get a refresher on Bozja and the meteor project. It was probably about 2.5 hours before I even got to the solo instance.

I didn't do Eureka so I don't know how well the story was tied to those relic weapons, but this one was definitely different as far as NPC interaction and depth; tying together some of the previous stories, extending on the echo, introducing an imminent threat, and also giving us what I felt was a really awesome solo instance experience. In this regard, I feel the content is loaded.

As far as giving us something to do: not so much. As a lightweight introductory content filler. I feel like we should have got this earlier, and then the meat and potatoes came with patch 5.25. I'm not disappointed with this content though, and enjoyed it thoroughly. A short but sweet manner to start of a relic is the way to go imo, instead of doing something like ARR and HW and put players through a crazy grind just to complete the first step. This is especially true for players who are behind, and aren't doing the relic steps as they come with new patches.

I'm not going to say it isn't "grindy enough" though. It's really tough to evaluate that without completing the relic in its entirety. We will have to see what the next steps entail. But yes; a nice appetizer indeed, and now I am ready for the main course.
