The relic weapons, which I suppose are the main object of the patch are pretty shabby in my opinion and I mean the base models, they are not the best in-game and no matter what cool lighting effects they get they'll continue to be inferior to past relics, I'm disappointed because it was of great interest to me.

I guess I'll keep using my old but still best looking Nexus weapons!.

What you think is cool or interesting is subjective.

Didn't the first Eureka step take longer and was basically the same but worse?
First eureka was one of the best spots to pick up materia, had two glam sets, a mount, minions, barding, sprint boots for running around cities, a couple other glam pieces and several housing items you could pick up while picking up your relic stuff.

It was also the single fastest place for tomestones.

It's not Eureka, so I feel I must approve of the new relic in the strongest possible terms.

As long as SE gives us a relic grind that
    a) has more than one path to completion (so anything with tomestones by default, though there are other ways) and
    b) does not require the use of party finder to make any progress (seriously, the whole damn point of a relic grind is something to do solo or in DF)
I will approve in the strongest possible terms. Stormblood didn't even have a relic in my opinion, just a Eureka weapon, similar to a PotD weapon.

Still, I kind of wish there was, you know, an *actual* grind...

Not to mention you could make friend or at least have some social interactions there. But I guess people who hated eureka were those people sitting in the main hub doing nothing, looked for a party once a fate popped then left party and went back to main hub once the fate is over without saying any word and repeated this for hours.

True we have no good way, but at least this way is something. In end sure less people will have it but if this change even gets a small percentage of the community taking part in something they would not have either way that to me is a good thing. Sure it is not perfect but it is something.

This!!! I want the WHM set if the red parts dye. If they stay red I wouldn’t bother. It’d be nice to know...I’ve been looking in all the big hubs for someone wearing it but it’s not exactly the most popular set of the bunch. :P

This isn't going to force people into content. They just won't do it.

Im glad they want to get people to try harder content, but we run into another problem: people now just won't do it. Casuals who don't want (or can't, in some instances) won't do it. Savage raiders/people who keep up with tome gear every week want to do the fight maybe once if they don't want the glamour. There's nothing in the fight to keep people doing it like a mount.

Very disappointed in the move of the dye-able gear over to running an extreme trial over and over.

I thought one of the main purposes of the relic grinds (after the initial 2.0 weapon unlock) has always been to provide an alternative to extreme trials and savage drops - substitute the difficulty of coordination and execution for time and patience.
