    [Crystal / Coeurl] Constant 90006 Disconnections

    Since about 5am EDT today, I have been getting repeatedly disconnected from the world server. I tried transferring to another world (Zalera) however the issue still kept taking place. This takes place immediately upon logging into my character, disconnecting during the loading screen, or within 30 seconds to a minute of loading into the map.

    Despite this, I have had no issues with connections to the data center and the disconnections appear to be limited to the world server. I have asked other members in my FC if they have had latency issues but no one else has reported similar problems.

    Setup Information:
    - PC, Windows OS
    - Connection is wired direct to modem/router

    Things I have tried, however had no effect:
    - CMD ping and trace-route (6% Packet Loss, 70-80ms)
    - System restart and dns-flush
    - Modem restart
    - Closed background applications

    I have spent about 2 hours trying to troubleshoot this locally and have had no results.

    Good morning and thank you posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Could you try the following:

    - Configure the Internet Explorer web browser
    Final Fantasy XIV will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. As such, it needs to have the proper configurations to avoid connection issues. Adjust the following settings in the Internet Explorer (not Microsoft Edge) web browser.
    Open the IE browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    -Reset the PC.

    After applying the changes, I have been able to connect and play the game without issue. Thanks!
