Launcher fails after recent update (Mac)

I'm running FFXIV for Mac in macOS Catalina Version 10.15.4 on a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018). After last night's update my launcher fails to open. I originally opened the game, it updated, and then I played for a while. After exiting the game and trying to log back in, the launcher failed and gave me the error:

Unhandled exception: page fault on write access to 0x00000000 in 64-bit code (0x00007fff729f195d).

I tried restarting, then a full shut down, that didn't work.
I tried deleting the FFXIV_BOOT.cfg file, that didn't work.
I tried completely uninstalling the game and associated files multiple times, that didn't work.
I tried updating Wine to version 5.0, that didn't work.
I tried updating Wine to version 5.5, that didn't work.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Have any changes happened to the device before the issue began? We would also like to recommend several other troubleshooting steps:

    1) Update/reinstall your graphics card drivers (preferably a clean install)
    2) Disable all programs/overlays running in the background
    3) Make sure your anti-virus software has the appropriate exceptions for Final Fantasy XIV
    4) Perform a clean boot: Restart the Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key. The Apple logo should appear on your display. Release the Shift key when you see the login window.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Nothing changed since last opening the app. I closed the app, came back an hour later, and then tried to reopen the app and it wouldn't open.

    For the troubleshooting steps:

    1) Since this is a Mac, the graphic card drivers are baked into the OS. The process to manually update them is convoluted and not recommended.
    2) FFXIV is the only app running.
    3) I currently do not have anti-virus software installed.
    4) I have attempted to reboot the computer both regularly and in single user mode without success.

I have confirmed that the launcher opens on my 2 older computers which are still running macOS Mojave 10.14.5 and this seems to be an issue with Catalina.
