FF14 Japanese Error Message

Good Evening,

I had gotten my girlfriend a new computer, after installing the launch client for the game, and providing the necessary updates for the game, when i try to log in im given a Japanese error message (16) before the launch client crashes. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled once before, and im trying it again as i type. Hoping for some help.

To prevent repeating previously attempted troubleshooting, what have you tried to alleviate the problem? Does this crash happen when Final Fantasy XIV is the only program running? Where in game does the crash occur? Also, could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the client and updates
It was happening regardless of if its the only client or not
When i put the login information to the client launcher, it pulls up the Japanese error message followed by (16). When i hit ok, it closes the client.

(the game is currently installing again, not sure if that would change anything)

Have any changes happened to the device before the issue began? We would also like to recommend several other troubleshooting steps:

1) Make sure that your hardware is not overheating and remove any overclocks you may have on your graphics card or processor. Please check that any fans or vents are clear of blocks.
2) Disable any additional programs that could cause interference with the game itself including chat programs. Also, remove any custom configurations made using graphics driver-level programs.
3) Turn off Fullscreen Optimizations. Find the executable file for the game (normally found in the install folder), right-click it and select 'Properties'. Under the 'Compatibility' tab, check the box labeled 'Disable Fullscreen Optimizations', then click 'Apply'.
4) Remove any unnecessary USB or audio devices (controllers, headphones, flash drives etc.)

We would also like to recommend performing a Clean Boot on the desktop to see if the crashing continues. This will prevent any programs from starting up when the starting when the computer first boots up. This can end up having adverse effects on the game when these programs are running in the background. To perform a clean boot for Windows 10: Open the task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

I literally got this new laptop yesterday...
It isnt overheating, the cooling measure on the pc is optimized and stable.
There are no other applications being ran, and all non-vital applications do not start at bootup, ive gone through and disabled those that are not essential.
There are no usb devices plugged in, the only thing attached to the pc is the charger.
After the game finishes installing...again...ill see if it runs correctly, if not, im out of options and would prefer more help as necessary, possibly with a representative over phone.

I went to config and reset the system settings, and surprisingly i got to the character selection screen.
When i selected the character and went to load into the server, i get an immediate error that says "Unexpected Error has Occured, Exiting FF14 Now (16a.)"
So now what. This is both annoying and ridiculous, never have i had a problem so persistent as this.

Unfortunately, the device information in the provided System Report does indicate that the laptop being used does not meet the minimum specifications required to play FINAL FANTASY XIV most notably the Intel(R) HD Graphics Family chipset. We do not support Intel graphics cards for FINAL FANTASY XIV. However, we did notice there is an NVIDIA device that is not listed as the primary graphics card. This suggests that you may be running NVIDIA Optimus which controls whether your system utilizes the base Intel card or the NVIDIA card to conserve battery power. Please try disabling NVIDIA Optimus and see if the error persists. For instructions on how to force the NVIDIA card to be enabled or to disable Optimus, please contact NVIDIA Support.
