    3.25 Update Crashes the PC With a BSOD

    What happens is it goes through a Version Check, Updates then shortly after Blue screen of death PC error. Tried re-install, BSOD. Full delete with a new install, BSOD. I absolutely do not know what to do, this update is completely broken to run. After trying to start the launcher again, anything from Internet Resets, PC resets it pops up with Unable to complete version check error.

    Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Does this crash happen when Final Fantasy XIV is the only program running? Where in game does the crash occur? Also, could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

    Have any changes happened to the device before the issue began? We would also like to recommend several other troubleshooting steps:

    1) Make sure that your hardware is not overheating and remove any overclocks you may have on your graphics card or processor. Please check that any fans or vents are clear of blocks.
    2) Disable any additional programs that could cause interference with the game itself including chat programs. Also, remove any custom configurations made using graphics driver-level programs.
    3) Turn off Fullscreen Optimizations. Find the executable file for the game (normally found in the install folder), right-click it and select 'Properties'. Under the 'Compatibility' tab, check the box labeled 'Disable Fullscreen Optimizations', then click 'Apply'.
    4) Remove any unnecessary USB or audio devices (controllers, headphones, flash drives etc.)
    5) Update/reinstall graphics drivers to the most current version.

    We would also like to recommend performing a Clean Boot on the desktop to see if the crashing continues. This will prevent any programs from starting up when the starting when the computer first boots up. This can end up having adverse effects on the game when these programs are running in the background. To perform a clean boot for Windows 10: Open the task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

    @Rhaervis The issue has been fixed and I am back online. Powershell discovered corrupted files and fixed them, and I tried the Task Manager turn off all on start up. You can lock this now, thank you.
