Discord won't detect Final Fantasy XIV

Hi, I know it's been many years, but just in case someone is looking for this,

I might have two solutions for Windows version:

1. Rename your computer / username and then reboot (You can change back if you want afterward)
2. Create a new account for your computer (You can delete it if you want afterward)

Either one should be useful, hope these could help.

Thank you so much, was driving me nuts. First I've noticed that Logitech G Hub not switching to FFXIVs profile automatically, while other games / applications worked fine. Further poking also revealed Discord not "seeing" FFXIV.

In my case renaming my computer / rebooting solved it - as I've also managed to name the computer the same as my user. Not sure if that's what was causing the issue but in hindsight the issue might have started at the time I've named the computer the same as my user.

I was literally trying to figure this out for the past 2 years at least, i cant believe it was this simple lol.

Thank you for taking the time to post this solution. Changing computer name literally fixed it for me.

Hello! I wanted to jump on here, and say a huge thank you for this solution!
I got a new PC recently, and FFXIV not loading on my Discord was driving me crazy like others have said. I could not understand why my old HP OMEN gaming laptop would work fine, and then as soon as I swapped it would not show. Tried every solution, and even had someone on Reddit helping me out, so your post really helped!

Like others, renaming my PC solved the issue.
