Healer dps should be a bonus, not a requirement. Especially in savage raids where damage is much higher. Alternatively remove enrage from savage altogether, and just have the boss repeat the mechanics like on normal mode.

The only way for healers to not need to dps is for them to change how the encounter goes a.k.a non-scripted. In a scripted environment, there will always be room for healer dps because everything has a set pattern so oGCDs can be planned out. Raising the raidwide damage will only serve to cause more wipes and lead to more frustration in parties. Healers were not designed and optimally (especially in raids) played with GCD healing.
What needs to happen is either they make healer kits interesting so it's not just "one-button spam." Be it a more diverse dps rotation or more support.
While I'm not fond of enrage timers, so much of the fights are just dps checks after learning mechanics.

Lets just have a single duty-action to automatically clear the savage floor. That'll solve the healer DPS "issue" quickly.

If that's how you choose to see if, sure. They are trolling you so hard right now.
Encounters in this game boil down to killing the enemy before they kill you w/ heavily scripted fight mechanics. Unless the goal of an encounter is not to get the boss's health to zero, any and all maximizing of dps is going to be prioritized at the top level of play.
Savage is not balanced with healer dps in mind. Yoshi has stated this in the past Savage is not balanced around healer dps, Healers dps as bonus and because of down time. They also dps cause groups hit the final boss barely making the required dps needed to get it down. Week one clear groups are the numero uno for barely making the required dps on final bosses. Then there is also deaths and player skill adding to dps loss, a dead dps means lower raid dps. Go into a savage final boss with full BiS crafted gear and tome gear(Tome gear that drops with savage) you will easily exceed the required dps if everyone is on the ball.

Didn't he say that back in ARR/HW? We have like 2-3 expansions released after that, things changed, healers have to dps now. If you dont dps as healer, but just stand there doing nothing, it just shows how "good" of a player you are.
Its not even just a matter of clearing dps checks, if whole party does the most that they can to ensure clear, why are healers supposed to just chill? Damage in savage is so small, healing normal modes with players that get hit by all aoes is harder than savages. Spam 1 button that you have, its not hard
That's not a matter of choice.
Healer DPS has never ever been taken into account in enrage timer, certified several time by Yoshida himself.
As for asking the removal of enrage in savage to make it be like normal, I have nothing more in mind than "lol" ?
