What is the one issue that you would choose to have addressed FIRST, over all others, to make FFXIV a more enjoyable experience? Please only discuss ONE. I am aware there are countless flaws with this game, but we need a starting point.

For me, I want to see more direct control of my character.

There is just not enough responsiveness to my commands; if I move while casting I want my character to immediately stop casting. I want the entire thing to just abort, no misfire animation or any other further difficulty.

When I see a dodo or yarzon charging a TP attack, I want to move behind it and know for certain it won't hit me because I am visually and physically behind it. Instead, about 20% of the time I am a fraction of a second too slow and they hit me anyway. This is usually while I'm casting a spell, and then move to get out of there. The spell either resolves and casts, or my character stumbles about while failing it.

I'm not sure if this is intended or not, but the cast bar is basically useless. It never seems to accurately reflect the timing of my spellcast; most of the time for spells 2 seconds or less it flashes once and disappears halfway full. For 3 seconds or more, IF the bar displays at all, it also usually just vanishes around 50-70% full.

See how complex one issue is? So please, only discuss your one worst gripe about FFXIV for now.
