New diadem bot shenanigans?

So the gathering bots appear to have figured out how to greatly speed up the rate at which you swing at gathering nodes. I just witnessed three separate characters teleport to a timed weather node, swing at the node in rapid succession far faster than could ever be normally possible and then teleport out (or more likely left the instance to re-queue. See below.) The rate at which they were swinging was more than twice the rate that automatic gathering would provide if it were available on those nodes and the swing animation didn't even quite have a chance to fully complete. Even my manual spam clicking of the item was only half the speed they were managing.

I also witnessed the same three bots collecting multiple times from that same weather node. This might technically be legitimate since it probably just involved leaving the instance and queuing again, but the fact that they were teleporting to the node sped up the process by a lot since they weren't limited by the flight time to get back to the node.

If they're really teleporting to the node then there's obviously hacks involved, which are also able to shorten/remove animation locks (Which would speed up their gathering). Even just plain bots are able to defy certain rules that actual players are subject to, though. IE, There's no limit to how far away they can target things from, nor do they have to obey LoS when targeting either; if it's within rendering distance it's free game for them, essentially.

I'm not really sure what they'd be hoping to gain from doing this, because hacking is one of the few ways to semi-reliably get yourself smacked with the ban hammer. There's also not much profit to be made from restoration mats, either.

I felt dubious about this initially, but it's been confirmed that one of the popular botting programs does actually have teleport hacks built into it and some friends of mine have actually witnessed a hunt troll using it to despawn the Forbidden Rebellion minions as well as to just ensure he makes it all of the S rank hunts (And no, he hasn't been banned despite being reported several times over the course of the past week).

I really hope they start taking this more seriously...

I only recently started doing non-fishing in there.
I can’t comment on what the speed of gathering could be, but for the weather nodes I absolutely do jump out if the instance to requeue and do it again. It seems foolish not to and I get suspicious of the people that do not do this lol

I also used to do that until I realized the clouded nodes don't actually give that much more points then the normal nodes.

It's not that uncommon, though I think the TC is saying people are doing that in conjunction with teleport hacks to get way more gathers out of the nodes then legitimate players would.

I've actually seen the mentioned hunt troll and his alt account botting in Diadem before, so it would not surprise me if he was "testing the waters" to see if he'd get banned there before branching out into actively malicious activity.

I mentioned this when this new diadem hit... actually with videos goin around in social media... back then bots hit constantly one spot where they messed up, wich was fixed by now... bots won the tournament, bots rule the colors/mounts/mats market... but guess what? People came at me saying there's no bots (it's only like 1 in a million) and aslong those people exist square has no reason to do anything.

New Diadem was sponsored by gil sellers cause now they get theyr gil even faster now, ruling the still attractive mount market depending on server you play.

Oh.. and soon 5.3 Firmament tournament - my predictions, bots and account sharers will win... (cause, no, i won't believe anyone out there has no need for sleep for a whole week and the ones who came up with i gathered 6h a day, top 10 and close to 2m points can say that with people who never check how many points they make in 3h gathering)


Sorry to say, just ignore the whole. It's the best sadly... community likes dem bots, they make the markets healthy according to them cause who spends time gathering or crafting anyway since ARR...
