Does anyone from SE actually read the feedback here?

I realize that this has kind of become the "thank the GMs" forum (and it's true, you guys do a great job) but I wondered if from the feedback here, if anyone at SE actually reads the feedback here or is it better to post actual feedback in its respective forum?

"We want bunny suits for guys!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Ishgard housing!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Viera!" -- OK! ✅
    "We want Cloud's motorcycle!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Blue Mage!"-- OK! ✅
"We want the ability to earn past Feast rewards!" - HAHA no that's sacred.

It's always better to post feedback in it's appropriate category. Often times I see people writing posts in areas that clearly have nothing to do with what they're talking about. but they be lazy.

The devs do read a digest version of the forum but from what i've gleaned over the years they only see the top subjects that have been given to them by whoever compiles the data.

bascially the best way to get devs to notice something is for an idea/ideas to be consolidated in one thread with many replies and a high number of likes on relevant posts in that thread. This is more of a mentality on the JP forums side of things. unfortuantely the NA forums often get ignored because people don't realize this. they all think their own opinion is more important and so many people will create many threads on the same subject that go nowhere scattered all over the place. because it's so disorganized people get discouraged and then think that the devs don't listen to anyone in NA.

They do. You can tell because, rarely as they come up, there are certain key issues that will get lightning fast responses.

It's hard to tell from an engagement perspective, however, because outside of that very very narrow band I alluded to above... they simply don't engage. Just look at the dev tracker. Even when it's not short from lack of posting activity, often the activity is just posting about contests and other such official announcements, rather than responding to posters. In Stormblood they were more active in the pvp forums, but even that's fallen off.

Of course, COVID19 is doubtless not helping matters, but these general trends were established long before the pandemic too.

Anyways, yes, it's likely best to post in the appropriate category.

I would take a look at Live Letters when they're on. There aren't a lot of forum specific responses outside dire situations like Baldesion Arsenal in which Yoshi P and one of the battle designers (I think) apologized and offered explanation to the "why."

Feedback be it in game or from forums, is indeed brought up. But it's usually as one great big batch and not case specific. And as it's been said, it's best to keep it in one thread. This makes it easier to translate and push up.
