Any way to fix game files without completely reinstalling?

So, I finally decided to do the Ivalice raids, but every cut scene in the questline seems to have some sort of error and crashes my game. I can just skip the cut scenes, but that kind of defeats the purpose of having a questline in my opinion. I remember this happening when I was leveling during Stormblood in that there was a cut scene where the game would just crash every time I tried to go through it and I reinstalled the game and it fixed it, but I would rather not have to do that if I can avoid it. I have the non-steam version of the game. Any help would be appreciated.

FFXIV doesn't have a repair files option, unfortunately.

On PC, you still can copy & paste all the game files from a working install. Settings are stored elsewhere so you don't lose them.

If I remember properly, there were a thread about reinstalling the game without downloading everything.

From what I remember, you go in the se ffxiv folder (in programs).
    Save the "game" folder
More or less deleted everything in "boot" folder
Launch a reinstall from the installer
As soon as it start to download the game again (after the client be updated), stop it. Update "game" folder with the old "game" folder and relaunch the install, it should find the game files.

If not, you probably need to delete everything that is not movie and sqpack folders. The install will put the deleted files back. The folders shouldn't change. This said, be carefull, all fileinfos can be corrupted by these actions (if the new ones don't match the old ones). I'm not sure but if it doesn't work, game files are maybe compressed, in that case, there is nothing to faster things, you have to do a brand new install.

You can do a simple test : copy everything in a save folder. Launch full brand new install. Watch the files in the folder. If the downloaded games files aren't as the ones you saved, you have to do a full brand new reinstall.
