    Suffering lag while in dungeons or any multiplayer content

    I have DSL with extremely bad upload. Is there an option to change the packet size or frequency at which packets are delivered to the server or is there an option with people with less than stellar internet to play without so much lag? Trying to tank dungeons right now is pretty much impossible.

    PC specs are:
    4790k
    gtx 980ti
    16 gigs of ram

    Unfortunately, there is no way to change the speed or quantity of information needed for the game. However, the connection you are using should be adequate for the game. Are you using a wireless connection, or do you have your PC connected tot he router via an Ethernet cable?

    I'm physically connected to my router. My ping times to the server boarders 200 ms+ on average, the lowest I've seen it go was 90 ms. Maybe the servers are just under "heavy load" due to the outbreak but it's been like this since before quarantines so I don't know. Pinging other game servers gives me about 30 ms so it's really weird that the final fantasy servers are so much higher.

    When you pinged the server, did you try a trace route? If so, can you provide the trace route in your next response?

    Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums,

    Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

    -Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    - Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

    -Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

    My router is on DMZ mode allowing unrestricted access to all ports, I also have no software firewall enabled. As for all those steps my settings were already that.
