When I play start after log in, I just see a loading black screen.
I can't even click on any Movie because the game goes at loading screen forever.

Good afternoon an thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums
How long have you been experiencing this issue? Does this issue occur if Final Fantasy XIV is the only program running? Additionally, are you connected directly to the router or are you using Wifi?

Before the 5.21 patch or something. im running Discord. Im also using wifi.
It might be you have an "N" version of Windows that comes without the media player codecs. Someone in that situation would have the same problem and can't play the opening cinematics is why I mention it.
To fix this goto https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...diafeaturepack and get/run the relevant download, although you will likely need to do this each time there's a big Windows 10 update (every 6 months) .
Are the "movies" even in your folder. That happened to me when I deleted them.
FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\game\movie
This has been a problem for many people, going back a few years. It appears random (affects many different hardware specs [motherboard manufacturers, processors, graphics cards etc]) and there has never been a fix from SE about it.
I have it too, and I've had it for like... 5 months now? If I delete the entire game and re-download it, it will work once. I refuse to re-download the entire game every time to play. I've tried wifi, and wired connections. I've disabled all start up programs and rebooted and tried. I've updated all drivers. It's only ever FFXIV, and people have reported this, and eventually people stop posting on their threads, and no one cares.
Good afternoon and thank you for the reply.
VictoriaCroy, I apologize for the delay in our response to your concern. Could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'
