    [Request] Move all token items to its own Currency tab

    In the past SE did a good job by getting rid of beast-tribe currency items and moving them into Currency tab. Why not to expand same implementation on all of in-game token items?

    There are a lot of such tokens from many types of content (raids, trials, relics, etc). By its nature they are "currency", you exchange them for other stuff. So you can have a clean and structured UI to navigate through them, rather than having them cloggering your inventory.

    Why? Because a lot of those tokens stop having a use. Would be a lot of ui coding problems to add all of them to a currency window, when 90% of them are useless a patch or 2 later.


    You can solve your inventory issue by throwing most of those out. I see a bunch of old crystaloids which you don't even need anymore...

    I feel like if things become antiquated so quickly in this game, they should design a better token/currency system for their raids so that we don't end up with a bunch of junk in our inventories. We of course can go through storage every so often and clear out outdated currency - but wouldn't it be swell if the system were smarter and didn't force us to have to do this in the first place? QoL elements/upgrades can be fantastic.

    Better question is... Why wasn't it a currency to start?

    I never understand why people like this seem to always be against making nice QoL changes to the game. With your way of thinking, lets just move everything under currency to inventory items. It's on you to deal with inventory management.

    Option 2 would be to remove some of the "Key Items" slots and just change those into currency slots. You rarely use more than 10 of those slots of the total 105 slots available.

    They explained why it's not a currency in the interview I linked. It's a data issue.

    It's also probably to do with rolling for loot. You can't roll for currency; you just receive it. It needs to be an item so people can roll on it.

    And apparently those key item slots don't really "exist" in the same way that our main inventory does. I'm not clear on how it works, but I think it might have been that key items are more just switched on and off according to your current quest, and appear in that tab but don't take up space the same way?

    They should probably just take out old raid currencies and make the items available for poetics, anyways. If they want to make people clear it first (even though they are walkovers unsynced) then they can just make it so you can't buy them until you've cleared it at least once.

    This doesn't do anything about FATE drops and ex trial mounts but it would still help a lot.

    Having the tokens clog up inventory discourages players from needing/greeding on tokens they won't use so other players who will use them can get them.

    If you're soloing stuff, buy gear as you get the tokens to turn in for GC seals.

    It'd be nice for quality of life to do this. Just make different currency tabs for expansion specific tabs or something similar to the reputation page breaking out beast tribes that way. Unless having two many currencies would set fire to the spaghetti code or something there's no downside to having them as currencies instead of clogging up inventory.

    I’ve used my EX primal tokens a hell of a lot more recently than Sylph leafs or Vanu bones.
