Linkshell~?

Another thing that I just thought of is that you can make a post in your specific world forum saying you are looking for a linkshell. There are some shells out there that invite newer and low level players, I'm sure you will be able to find one. The low level thing isn't really a thing since levels go by really fast once you get rolling and also we all have to start somewhere. Everybody has something to bring to the table for a linkshell in their own way.

I did, but... I made it clear I was a casual player. I don't want to lie or mislead someone. I think my chances of being scouted are pretty low with that approach.

Not necessarily. Our LS is casual but we do EoG stuff as well. We just don't FORCE anyone to be here at X TIME or be ready for 100 Ifrit runs or else ur booted out!; yeah we don't care. You wanna do runs great. You wanna sit in Ul'Dah and craft great. Do your leves and you can get great XP to 30 in a few days or so and THEN 25+ but usually 30+ you will get some invites to not just PTs but a LS or 2. Also, helping people do the events is another great chance to meet players and show them you're not afraid to help random strangers and make new friends.
