    Grade 1 Materia~

    Is there any use for basic Materia? It's barely useful, and I'm not sure I could even give it away...

    Can it be traded in anywhere, or should I just vendor it to get rid of it?

    If you have a craft high enough or if you find someone to do it you can attach it to low level gear for any new classes you level up. Even small boosts at low levels makes a noticeable difference.

    Also, as Zetsumei said, people trying for gambler's crown will buy reasonably priced tier 1 materia.

    Check the wards, it has a price history. Materia is under "Crystaliers Row". Just glancing at it most materia Tier 1 seems to sell for 1-5k each, with raw stat (white) materia being the cheapest.

    There is the Materia Achievements which you can work on to get Gambler's Crown, i'm still trying that one myself
