Linkshell~?

What is the best way to find a Linkshell that wants me? Is there something like the party search feature... or do I just wander around until I find one?

I see alot of people just shout for them in Ul'dah as there is no linkshell search option in the game. Other than that I suppose you could just party up with people and get an invite to one eventually. Another alternative is that you could make one yourself.

Yeahh... the "make one myself" option is like the most desperate thing I could do. I want to get to know people, but everyone is level 50!

It's hard when no one needs you, since they're all so high leveled. I get lost in dungeons so easily, I really feel like I'd just drag experienced players down.

Another thing that I just thought of is that you can make a post in your specific world forum saying you are looking for a linkshell. There are some shells out there that invite newer and low level players, I'm sure you will be able to find one. The low level thing isn't really a thing since levels go by really fast once you get rolling and also we all have to start somewhere. Everybody has something to bring to the table for a linkshell in their own way.

I did, but... I made it clear I was a casual player. I don't want to lie or mislead someone. I think my chances of being scouted are pretty low with that approach.

Gotcha... I would go with the shouting in Ul'day then. Although I do advise not to spam the shouts as people do get annoyed with shout spams sometimes. Maybe just occasionally send a shout out to see if you get a bite. I myself caught a few shouts from returning players and a couple new ones the other day and invited them to my linkshell and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person to do so. Not necessarily. Our LS is casual but we do EoG stuff as well. We just don't FORCE anyone to be here at X TIME or be ready for 100 Ifrit runs or else ur booted out!; yeah we don't care. You wanna do runs great. You wanna sit in Ul'Dah and craft great. Do your leves and you can get great XP to 30 in a few days or so and THEN 25+ but usually 30+ you will get some invites to not just PTs but a LS or 2. Also, helping people do the events is another great chance to meet players and show them you're not afraid to help random strangers and make new friends.

There's a good deal more casual LS's than you might think. You might have more luck asking around on weekend evenings when most of them are playing. With the merges/transfers people have been looking to expand their LS's and helping low level players in this game is pretty painless.
