It seems some old ARR NPC's has updated dialogues

I don't know if I am late for the news but it is really nice to see some old NPCs have updated lines. It adds a bit to the story and for the lore loving players there this is fascinating. I wonder what other NPCs have updated dialogues.

For the earlier expansions, you could usually find out any NPCs with updated dialogue by looking through the script for the point where it changed - key moments and final chapters can have a really long list of updated NPCs.

Unfortunately they seem to have done something else with the data for Shadowbringers and (last time I looked, at least) it only had updates for the few characters at the Rising Stones and none listed elsewhere in the world, but things definitely have changed.

For Lambertaint in particular, I think he's been updated a few times now - it got raised in a lore discussion at some point and people wondered if he's being set up to come back into the MSQ. That was a few patches ago, when they didn't have any leads on how to get the Scions home, so I wonder what-if-anything they're planning for him.

Other characters I can remember making comments regarding the current plot are Matoya and (post-ShB if you've completed the Crystal Tower) Rammbroes.

I just have to figure that because of the way time is somewhat "flat" in the game, we're seeing people at different points in time. We're still talking to Slafborn in post-Stormblood time. But yeah, he should have been updated by now.

I know that the Alch guildmaster has also been poked by the scions in the hey you have any ideas call sended out they seem to have done. I know there's at least one more that I ran into that I didn't think the scions would have reached out to as that's not really their thing.

The NPCs in The Rising Stones update with almost every MSQ you do.
At least they did in the past. You aren't exactly doing much in the source right now.

But yeah, I used to take forever to actually get through new patches of MSQ because I'd be busy seeing the updated lines everyone had, it was super fun.
