    Japanese Error Message

I have been playing for less than a year. I was playing the third Eden's Gate and the game crashed. I tried to log in the next day and I got the Japanese Error message. I have cleared the cashe, Cleared all temp files and cookies, Opened access through firewalls, disabled antivirus, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game.
I just tried to log in again this morning after in was reinstalled, same message.
I have seen that other people had this problem over 2 years ago and were able to get their games up and running again. But I have tried it all and nothing.

That image. it is exactly what I am getting. i need help. I am on lockdown in my city. It has been my way of entertainment during this. Please help. Thank you.

Have you tried running it in dx9 mode?
The japanese is just a generic error from what I can read, but the executable is clearly the dx11 version.
If dx9 runs fine, you may need to reinstall dx11, which if needed, Check here.

I am running directx 12. I don't know what has happened, but the game loaded up just fine. I have not made any other changes. Could there just be a general issue with login? I will definitely keep your idea in mind, should it happen again.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

When exactly did this start happening? Do you recall anything changing/updating on your PC that coincides with this?

If the error happens again, can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
